Things You Missed At The First Digital Workshop For The Plotline©
First, let's start with a list of things I'm ironically afraid of...
1. Being perceived (even though I share a LOT on the internet)
2. Coming off like an idiot (even though I make stupid jokes at my own expense)
3. Letting people down (even though I can and do make mistakes)
On Tuesday, I stared all three of these fears right in the face and hosted a workshop with Jacinta from The Spiritual Book Club. It was equal parts nerve-wracking and rewarding, and honestly? Worth every second.
If you were there—THANK YOU. Seriously. Your presence, your questions, and your emoji reactions meant the world.
If you couldn’t make it—NO STRESS. Life happens, and I get it.
So, to catch you up, I’ve pulled together the highlights: the questions, the answers, and the takeaways. Here’s what you missed.
What is Narrative Therapy and how can it help me?
Narrative Therapy is basically a plot twist for your brain—it helps you see problems as part of your story, not your personality.
Like, instead of deciding you’re doomed at public speaking because of that one time you choked in front of the PTA, you rewrite it as your character-building origin story.
Suddenly, you’re not the person who freezes; you’re the one who stumbles, learns, and comes back ready to own the mic.
What do you mean by 'being the main character' of your life?
I always say: be the main character of your life and the best supporting actor in everyone else’s. It’s not about narcissism—it’s about self-care and reclaiming your narrative in a world that’s quick to demand a piece of you.
Being the main character means stepping into your story with intention, making choices that align with your values, and driving the plot forward—especially when life throws you curveballs. So, if you’re stuck in a job that drains you, ask yourself: “What would the main character do next?” Then go do it, one bold step at a time.
What do I do if I don’t know where to start with rewriting my story?
You don’t need to be battling some epic trauma to start The Plotline©—small tweaks to your story work too. If life feels “meh” and you’re not sure if it’s your job, your relationship, or just existential boredom, this helps you figure out where the plot’s gone flat.
Maybe you write, “She’s got a decent job and an okay relationship, but she knows she’s meant for more”—and boom, you’ve got your starting point. From there, it’s about making small, intentional edits to bring your story back to life.
Conversely, you can celebrate the life you DO have! If you don’t want to improve anything you don’t have to, you can simply document the story and enjoy.
That’s the goal.
This all sounds great, but I’ve seen so many self-help tools like this that promise change but don’t deliver. What makes The Plotline© different?
I get it—there are tons of options out there. But The Plotline© journal isn’t just another quick-fix trend; it’s rooted in a proven method for making meaningful, lasting change. It's been designed to be simple but ask you to go beyond the surface by encouraging you to rewrite your life’s story in a way that aligns with your true self.
It’s flexible, customisable, and designed to grow with you as you reflect, learn, and evolve.
Already have The Plotline© and ready to go deeper? Or, want to try the method out without going all-in?
